This young man Vado is Cam'ron's latest understudy. I haven't been feeling him until this joint dropped. The video looks like Old Footage, but it sets the stage for a street narrative. He's also reminiscent of a young Juelz Santana.

Dom Kennedy - From The West-Side With Love"

I've actually listened to this mixtape about a dozen times before uploading it for your pleasure. Dom Kennedy's one of my favorite new comers for a lot of reason's.

1)He's etho's are classic ( he sticks to the rap formula, but it's not bland or boring)
2)His name is Dom Kennedy ( that's kind of cool)
3)He's from the west coast, repping an area i've never heard of ( Lemeirt Park)
4)Cool Style, keeps it basic
5) He's kind of mysoginistic, but has this "give back to your neighborhood/ good guy" feel ( All my favorite rappers have that trait)
6) The raps seem real/relateable ( a lot of these new comers try to come so "avante garde" and against the grain.he put's you in the situation almost making you feel like you were there)

He doesn't have the best flow, and he isn't lyrically complex, but he's good because he's good. Not in a Young Jeezy way where the stripes in the hood earned your respect orignially, but in an Ice Cube way. In the way when you first heard " Today was a good day", and you knew what a day in Cali was like. Good concepts, Good Wit,  and Good stories. He's good like that. Download, and see for yourself.

Erykah Badu feat Questlove - Window Seat

Erykah gets naked like an exhibitionist in this video. I'm not sure of what she's trying to portray, but she's beautiful, and I don't mind.

PS: I know she's tryna show evolution, so maybe the nudity was showing the necessary risk, and for lack of better termanology "putting yourself out there". We all need to overcome things to evolve, and maybe this was her meaning. What do you think?

Last night was crazy! Baltimore emcee Greenspan opened up Killing his set doing songs from his previous and new Got Green Series. Yelawolf came in and stormed the stage, with his bass heavy bangers!!! Then for the grand Finale Wiz Kalifa came in and did a great set. All of these artist are up to par. A large sum of the Baltimore scene was there including me, Willie Smith, Courtney, ZEA from BluVision, DANK , Nier, PEACEFUL MONEY, DEV, James W, Rashod "Chism-blog" and many more. Born to Use Mic's

I'm currently reading Born To Use Mics by Michael Eric Dyson, and Sohail Daulatzai. I always feel like I need to read more. Why not right? I mean, we spend countless hours on the internet browsing sites, and reading information that doesn't help us in life whatsoever. I figured a could at least take a bite at this reading thing by reading a book that chronicles one of my favorite albums of all time, Nas's Illmatic. I can't front, sometimes Michael Eric Dyson comes off to me as a guy who grew up away from it all, and somehow tried to intellectualize Hip-Hop. But sometimes first impressions are wrong, and who need to intellectualize Hip-Hop, it's already intellectual. Praises go to him for realizing the depth of a culture that is overlooked in it's entirety by angry old black folks, and whites alike.  As I continue to read, I will give you guys updates on how I like it.

PS: Nas recently decided to go back, and receive his Highschool Diploma after dropping out in the 8th grade. You may remember the line from Memory Lane  on Illmatic  , " I dropped outta Cooley High, gassed up by a coke-head cutiepie".

Greenspan, is one of the most prominent up and coming Baltimore artist. With that being said, His new project Got Green? Vol 2. Hosted by popular DMV website Illvibes is certified to be a BANGER! The second installment is set to premier March 17, 2010. The work hits on St. Patrick's Day and is Greenspan's 3rd mixtape from Federal Reserve Music Group.The mix-tape features popular entities from the region including DJ Soundwave, on-air personality Herkules from WPGC 95.5 as well as vocals from Balance, Feevaleo, Karron Johnson and K.
