The Odd Couple

Pick-up their new joint!!!!

Nouveau Riche

I was introduced to this group a little while ago. Thru listening to Lupe Fiasco I heard of Nikki Jean who is on Lupe's latest single "Hip-Hop saved my life". She also performed in Baltimore on the Lupe Tour. She's apart of the group Nouveau Riche ( newly rich for u ingants.lol) They represent Philly and have done shows with The Roots and TV on the radio. Another stand-out member of the group is Dice Raw from The Roots fame. Their music is hard to describe. It's like a mixture of Hip-Hop influenced pop-rock and as u know I love tyhe mash-ups. This is the "fuck one genre" generation.lol.

Anyways check out their new jawn. It's pretty dope.

Dizee Rascal Featuring Bun B

I had Dizee's first Albumn, it was pretty good. Dude is nice. And Bun-B is always a plus. You might not know he's a very articulate dude. R.I.P. Pimp C.

Bmore's Hope

Being as it is a blog based loosely on Baltimore life. I'd figure i show you a glimpse of the talent comming from here.Lets start of with local( and now international) Dj/producer DJ BLAQSTARR.Dude has been putting it down in my hometown from classic hits such as Young Leek's ("Jiggle It")D.O.G.'s ("Ryda Girl"), and his own Hands Up Thumbs Down" and "You Keep on Fuckin' Around". Baltimore Club music has been big here but it's finally starting to get some national exposure thanks to the local Dj's such as Blaqstarr and Rod Lee and Frank Ski (who currently resides in Atlanta). Also due to sprinkles of the sound inside of The Neptunes array of hits.DJ Blaqstarr has even produced some of underground-phenomenon M.I.A.'s songs. The only way to describe this man's sound is "Ghetto-tech Funk". It's like James Brown's soul mixed with the baltimore street.

Next winter!

Better Dayz

This is one of my favorite cd's from tupac post-death.It's a double-disc, but I rarely skip songs on each one. I feel about tupac like I feel about Nas,especially on this cd. This is simply because he goes from more violent lyrics to more changed-man type lyrics, obviously because it's probably put together from works at different times in his career. Tupac and Nas are both icon's because of the same reason people critisize them for. They're hypocrites!lol...in the lightest since of the word. But mostly everyone is a hypocrite, and feel more than one way about something. It's human nature.

This cd is a must have for any Pac fan, or somebody just looking for something to mellow out to. Production from 7 Aurelius, Johnny J, DJ Quick, BRISS & Jazze Pha give it a real chill feel. It also has a lot of guest appearances from Trick Daddy, Nas, Mya, Tyrese, the outlawz, and Big Syke.

New Q-tip

Q-tip Midnight 08

This is from the smirnoff campaign. It's purpouse is to join iconic rappers such as Krs-one, common, and Q-tip with present-day producers such as Cool and Dre.I personally love mash-ups like this because it shows Hip-hop isn't just one thing. It's a collage of many different ideals, and in the end if you don't like a certain type of song ( soulja boi), it still correlates with the black community in some way or form. It's still Hip-Hop. Yah trick!
