One of my favorite rappers as of late Curren$y continues to show us his depth, dropping mixtapes non-stop. I think he stands apart from these other rappers. His style is unique, and his flow makes you feel at ease as if he's talking to you. He also has amazing story-telling capabilities. It has been confirmed as of late that he will be forming a supergroup with Jay Electronica, and Mos def called Center Edge Territory. This shall be splendid.

This embodies Hip-hop to me. The whole picture. The song, and the original video. The lyrics Erick chose to use express his feelings of people doubting his presence. The production is epic, sounding like a New-York street vibe . Hip-Hop at times been a culture that roots for the under-dog. Erick ( one-half of the classic duo EPMD)re-emerged in 2004 with a vengeance. This album which was entitled "Chilltown, New York" was a dope album all the way through.
