Beat maven Just Blaze reminisces on one of the most classic studios in Hip-Hop history. Baseline is in part famous because of the many classic albums that Jay-z has recorded there with some of the most popular producers and artist in the last decade.
I saw this guy on my Homegirl Zea's playlist at Blu Vision. He's a dope Bmore transplant from New Orleans. He reminds you of Erick Sermon. This is from his mixtape "Well Grounded". He actually did justice to the " Exhibit A" track that Jay Electronica did. Anyone who can do that gets a second look in my book.
I respect all you guys in Bmore coming strong this year, and putting out dope material! On that note download this young man's latest Memory Loss! I'm sure your in store for that real shit. Mark Milly has been constantly dropping releases on the net. Check em' out. -Ryan L.
Brake Fast Records release Cases, a "1960's crime drama-inspired album is a breath of fresh air in these times of exhaustive mix-tape releases and the invariable LP format. As each detailed story advances the discordant plot line to play out more like blockbuster movie than an album". During Cases, I was introduced to new dope some emcees, and production. It Feels like a time capsule from the 90's, that was dug up to show us what Hip-Hop used to feel like. The word-play on this album is wonderful. Download this joint, and feel free to take a ride somewhere.

Ain't no time for all This non sense Cuz non cents don't pay rent And my shirt don't know lint My pop showed me work and I been workin ever since. I ain't never clocked out Up in Bmore they say the bull got clout I say they boy got up off his ass And did the damn thang But we talking the same jive The thigh is the hamstring The beat and the damn string Feeling like black pain Black skully and garni ring.

Everybody stepped through Shop Gentei doors last evening ready to support, Peaceful Money and meet The Clipse. Due to "security issues" or whatever that means, one of my favorite groups in the last decade couldn't make it. Leave it up to some B-more kids to have fun either way. I see our scene growing and flourishing, and as long as we show love and support for one another, we all gonna make it! - Ryan L.
The City Paper just released an article stating the best releases in Baltimore City this year. Clap for em'. -Ryan L

I don't know if anyone is anticipating this Lil Wayne release except for me. Lil Wayne has given us countless hits, including lasting classic cd's and mixtapes. His No Ceiling's mixtape was dope, however not reaching the status of previous ones, some fans have been doubting this new cd which shows Wayne growing in a different direction as an artist. Putting the frustration aside, The newly leaked joint from the Album entitled REBIRTH is definitley a banger! Although Lil Wayne doesn't do much rappin' on this one, his melody definitley carries the track. The song was produced by Miami heat-makers CoolandDre who sampled Amy Holland "She's on fire" from The Scarface Soundtrack . The chorus is so infectious, and that guitar lick is to ill!- Ryan L.
