Kanye West debuts "Portrait Of Power" on MTV

Kanye West continues to inspire us, by being creative, and taking risks. His latest video, for his leading single Power from his tentatively titled album Dark Twisted Fantasy is actually not a video at all. It’s a 90 second moving painting! I just had a twitter rant about how i felt it should have been a regular video. Hip-Hop is an art-form that is rooted in the inner-city, so it just feels classic to me in that arena. However I do appreciate what Kanye is doing for hip-hop though. It's actually a beautiful piece of Pop Art, once you get past the fact that it's not a music video. All in All, We love Ye'. He’s taking Hip-Hop to another place, and showing that our music doesn’t have to have boundaries. We can stretch it, as far as our imagination takes us. This 90 second painting has left us wanting more. Please don’t have us waiting long ye’.

Check out the video below, and comment your thoughts!

Kanye's POWER portrait break down

There's so many people who do not understand the demonic symbolism in this. I just wanted to take a second to break down the items in this video. I won't touch on all of them though just a few. Everyone is so quick to say this is awesome, beautiful, ground breaking when they have no idea what their looking at, honestly. Let's break down a few key items in this so called portrait...

KANYE'S HORUS CHAIN - HORUS/ the GOD OF WAR is known as OSIRIS in death... whom is the god of the dead/ god of the underworld. The Eye of HORUS which is the symbol of protection of royal power which can be related to the ALL SEEING EYE of today. HORUS is also known as Ra as well. Ra is the god of the sun. A cult centre for him is the PLACE OF PILLARS almost like the PILLARS OF FREEMASONRY.

SWORD OF DAMOCLES - This is a Greek tale about a man in power. It's a very interesting tale in a sense. The story about about a man in POWER who was constantly living in fear. For he had a sharpened sword that hung over his head by one horse hair. Basically meaning "that there can be nothing happy for the person over whom some fear always looms." Kanye has this same sword over his head wrapped around it is a halo.

PILLARS of KNOWLEDGE - Pillars of the outer porch of King Soloman's temple. Which are called the three pillars of freemasonry. Regular men have no access to this place nor the pillars. Kanye is standing in the middle of them as if he's thee only with access to this as other stand around him.

Thanks for the insight A.Keness. It seems as though you've done your research. I don't like to debate on topics I haven't actually read upon myself. But I will delve deeper later. Honestly, I don't believe in the negative rumors being forced upon Jay-z, and Ye', and Rihanna. Kanye has been a God-fearing guy who makes mistakes, and teaches lessons in his music. I actually get a good vibe from it all. So even if it's meant to be negative, I guess its all in your outlook on it.

I will say, that I would rather this video be something different in it's entirety. I'm looking for some "street shit". Not gangsta, but just the epitome of raw hip-hop imagery. Hopefully Kanye will give us that soon.
